Returning Family

Was anyone in your family part of the Olney Mill Swim Team last summer (2023)? *

Evening Practice

Does your swimmer plan to attend evening practice due to camp, work, etc? (This will not lock you in, but will give us an idea on numbers). *

Volunteer Requirement

The Olney Mill Otters is a parent-run organization. We depend upon parent volunteers to run the team and perform the many required roles during the meets.

Swimtopia (our swim team system) tracks each family’s volunteer progress using a point system. Every volunteer duty is assigned a point value and each family will be given points when the duty is complete.

2024 volunteer point requirements = 12 points

The opportunity to sign up for volunteer jobs will be available for most meets and events from the beginning of the season. If your schedule or health presents a challenge for service during meets, please contact the Team Representatives to make alternate arrangements. There are plenty of behind the scenes volunteer opportunities.

Non-volunteerism:

Every year we find that the majority of families meet (and sometimes vastly exceed) their minimum volunteer commitment, but we do have families who volunteer infrequently or not at all. Families that fail to meet their volunteer commitment this summer (2024) will be required to pay a deposit of $350 in order to re-join the team next summer (2025).

*
Volunteer Opt-Out

We prefer that parents volunteer to help us run the meet, but realize some would prefer to opt-out. You can opt-out of the volunteer requirement for $350, paid at the time of registration. This fee will not be refunded after it is paid.
